Comcast Cable TV Problems

TV screen keeps breaking up with a portion of the previous screen showing up over the next screen.  Have tried changing settings and cutting power to box for over 30 seconds.  Nothing works.

Need customer support to fix.

We know how frustrating that is. When the screen starts breaking up and showing pieces of the previous image, that usually points to a signal issue rather than a settings problem, so you did the right thing by rebooting the box first.

Let’s check a couple quick things that often fix this.

First, take a look at the coax cable going into the back of the TV box and into the wall. Make sure it’s tightened finger-snug on both ends. Even a slightly loose connection can cause pixelation and screen tearing like you’re describing.

Second, if there are any splitters between the wall outlet and the TV box, try temporarily bypassing them if possible and connect the box directly to the wall outlet. Weak signal from a splitter is a common cause of this type of picture issue.

If you’re using an HDMI cable, you can also try unplugging it from both the TV and the box and plugging it back in firmly. If you have another HDMI cable available, swapping it out is a quick test as well.

If the issue continues after checking those connections, let us know and we will be happy to assist you further.
