Coax only?

I've been using Xfinity for my internet and for streaming. No problems.

My wife decided she wanted local TV stations. Cable seems the only option.

Got the self-install kit.

Can you ONLY connect the boxes via coax cables? I'd have to pay another $100+ to do that. Makes no sense for me to run my internet and our 3 TVs via wireless and then have to do coax.

You can only connect tv's using coaxial cable and splitters if you use an antenna (amplified okay).

Cable-boxes require a box for each tv.

Thanks. I'm returning all of the equipment today. Just got it yesterday.

I find it ridiculous that I'd have to rewire my entire house to use xfinity for TV services.

The world is switching over to wireless. Much of our house, including xfinity internet is wireless.

From my perspective an absolutely idiotic marketing move.

Thanks.

Hi wallyobrien, thanks for reaching out to us with this concern. We do have wireless cable boxes that you can rent that do not require a coax hook up. Our Xi5 is a great box that will work great in rooms that don't have coax connections. You can pick up the equipment in your local Xfinity service center or we can ship the equipment out to you.

I no longer work for Comcast.
