CNN’s sound is cut off intermittently.

This problem seems to be happening just on CNN. Is anyone else been having this problem? Is there a fix?

the video is fine.

The problem has decreased greatly, but  intermittently the sound  does go off for a few seconds. This only happens n CNN.

Yes, I have the same issue,, mostly CNN but not only CNN.  Annoying, frustrating and angering considering the cost Comcast charges.  Fix it!

I also have this same issue - just CNN in the xfinity stream app. I’ve tried checking physical connections, restarting the modem, re-starting and reinstalling the xfinity stream app. None of that works. It happens both with live streaming and recordings.

Happens for me both on Xfinity app on an iPad Pro and Xfinity website on a Macbook Pro.

@XfinityMartyR​ still happens every single day. Im using the Xfinity Stream app on AppleTV. It happens on both my soundbar and when I’m using the actual TV sound. Is there a solve for this?

I don't know the difference. Inwatch on the app and CNN sound goes out every few minutes. Pretty easy to see if you try it.

CNN audio drops everyday and sometimes twice a day.

The only way to restore is to reset the box and wait the 7 to 8 minute reboot!!!!!!

I will not have a tech come out because your company charged me $100 for a service call of which your daily update seemed to cause.

I will not pay another $100. Your online troubleshooting is [Edited: "Language"] and then the customer service person on the phone asks ridiculous questions.

This is happening daily on the live CNN channel. My fix is going to be kicking Xfinity TV service to the curb along with Xfinity internet. I'm going to another provider and will stream from one of the streaming services. Xfinity is [Edited: "Language"] for the price of this service/no service. You have had more than enough time to resolve what seems a simple troubleshooting fix. Tired of it, done with it.

Try Sling, seriously!  I got so fed up with Xfinity streaming I did what you're talking about doing except I kept their internet (no other good option here).  The Sling app not only works, but I think it's better in every way.

Do you happen to know if you experience issues with any other live linear channel? Do you also experience issues with any other services such as OnDemand, Pay-Per-View, guide navigation, DVR and more? 

 

One thing we would certainly want to check is the coax connections. Would you be able to ensure the connections are secured and tight along with verifying the coax cable line is in good condition such as no hard bends, kinks, bite marks, or cuts that could interfere with the set-top box, video feed, and audio feed?

CNN still cutting in and out 1/6/ 2025  why haven't you all fixed this?!!!!!!!!!!  VERY disappointing that so many people have confirmed problem and no changes.
