Can't change channels

1-2 times randomly a day (that I know of), I am not able to access any functions of X1 with my remotes. I can however turn my

TV on and off and adjust the volume. The X1 functions return on their own in 1-5 minutes. I have

5 boxes and when I can't work one TV, all the others also have the same problem. Also, when this is happening,

my internet is working and there are no error messages. ...Since 5 boxes and 5 remotes fail at the exact same time,

I doubt if the problem in on my end.  Any solutions?

Have you tried sending a reset signal to your boxes - this was an older problem that may have returned?

@MikeB39A The boxes have been manually unplugged besides the daily update. You say "older problem",

but I can't find a similar problem being discussed.

@tbill1 Thank you for letting us know what steps you have taken on your end. Our team is happy to help and work with you on troubleshooting. Please feel free to send us your full name and address in a direct message:

"Search for Xfinity Support" won't work. To send a "Direct Messaging" message to Xfinity Support:

 • Click "Sign In" if necessary

 • Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging

 • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

 • The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there

 •  - As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list

 •  - An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

 • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

 • Press Enter to send it
