Cable box beeping

Hello,

My cable box has times where it is beeping after what sounds like some clicking. The box is still working properly but we have a lot of playback issues with the DVR at times. It doesn’t happen all the time but when it does happen it goes on for a few minutes. The box is XG1v4-A. We are not sure if the box needs to be replaced. Any information would be helpful.
Thank you!

Hey there, thanks for reaching out through Xfinity Forums. We would be happy to help with troubleshooting your Xfinity box. Are you only having issues with box when watching your DVR? Are you getting any error messages or codes when watching or just the playback issues?

@XfinityJeniece

When doing DVR playback, we get a message that the playback has an issue then it goes back to a previous spot and we have to fast forward past the issue. Other times it will kick us out of the show and mark it as watched.
Today, my box had the welcome screen on it and it appears to have been there for some time. I have to unplug the box then plug it back in and it will eventually come up.

That is definitely an issue we would need to look into further for you from here. Could you send me a direct message with the full name and complete address for your service?

To send a direct message [private message]:
   Click the "Direct Message" icon or  https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging
   Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
   The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there.
   - As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
   - An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.
   Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
   Press Enter to send it
