Buffering on hbo max

I am experiencing buffering while watching HBO Max.   It only occurs on HBO Max using TV (not on iPad or phone) and happens consistently during commercial breaks.  What can be done to correct this?

Greetings, @user_8b3749! You are at the right place for further assistance with HBO Max on your TV box. I apologize that has been acting up! Have you tried to clear the locally stored data on the box? The instructions are here in case you need them, https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/x1-clear-cookies-and-local-data-storage. The cache may need to be cleared. You will have to sign into your apps again after taking this step.

i have exact problem.  after the ads it freezes

Same issues here. I have the Premium plan without ads. Mine buffers at certain points in the show.

Hey, XfinityAgents! Questions abound. Need a response, please. We’re getting frequent buffering on HBOMAX (without ads).  I read XfinityRay’s response that included a link to instructions to clear the cache on the set top box, but can someone please explain how that will help with buffering and what’s in the cache that causes the buffering in the first place? The buffering problem occurs on two different set top boxes hooked up to two different TVs. Thanks!
