Ask a questionHelp with smart resume

I no longer have smart resume on programs that always had it.  I have turned it off and back on, and unplugged the box several times.  Has it gone away?

I have the same issue for about a week. None of the troubleshooting suggestions online work. I seeing multiple messages online in regards to this recent issue starting around Nov 13.

Thanks for connecting with us here, @Jp9539, about smart resume. This affected me at home as well, so I know how inconvenient it was for you. We are showing the issue has been resolved. Are you able to see smart resume on your recordings again? If not, please unplug your cable box for about 20 seconds from the power source, then reconnect it. After your box has rebooted, check the smart resume once again.

To send a "direct message" / "private message" message to Xfinity Support:

 • Click "Sign In" if necessary

 • Click the "Direct Message" icon or https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging 

 • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

 • The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there

 • As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list

 • An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

 • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

 • Press Enter to send it
