I have a question regarding what HDMI cable specs are required for the new X1 4k box.  My experience with sports thus far has been poor with washed out colors in particular.  TV adjustments on a Sony OLED don't fix it.  The box had some error codes and was rebooted so maybe a fix.  A tech agent recommended changing to the Xfinity HDMI cables.  My cables are 18 GPS, 4K/60Hz.  Sure work great on apps.

Hello, @GOMSU79. I'm glad the reset worked. You're more than welcome to update the settings on the cable box if you notice anything wrong with the picture before swapping out the HDMI cord. Please visit this link to learn how

@XfinityRaul.

Thanks for the response but it didn't really address the question.  What HDMI Cable specs are required?  What are the specs of the Xfinity supplied cables?

Good morning, GOMSU79. You'll want to make sure the HDMI cord is HDCP 2.2 compliant. Feel free to take a look at: 4K Ultra HD (UHD) and High Dynamic Range (HDR) on Xfinity TV and Adjust Your Video Display Using the X1 On-Screen Guide for additional references on output resolution. We give away free HDMI cords at our service centers.

I'll have to check on the HDCP 2.2 compliance.  The resets have done nothing and the colors are still washed out.  Replacing cables are an undertaking due to the mounting.
