4K Undetected

Just got my first 4K TV yesterday, Hisense H9G, and I was wondering why it still says Undetected under 4K UHD? I got the latest box from the xfinity store yesterday. Everything else says 4K.

It is just where the Brand of TV is. Some brands the box can not detect the brand. I have Samsung there.

So does that mean that the Hisense tv won’t be  showing in 4K resolution

I have the same issue. I just purchased a Hisense U6G and the same thing is happening to me. Have you had any luck?

In most TVs, there is a way to see what type of signal is being received on the active port.  It varies by manufacturer, and even among different models from the same manufacturer.  Suggest you download the user manual for your make/model of TV and find the section that explains how to determine what signal is being received.  Also, if your TV has an input labled ARC, you should be connecting to that input if you are connecting directly to the TV.
