4K uhd channels say my TV not compatible

I have a 4K tv…streams in 4K…everything but when I try to access the “4K” channels it says my tv isn’t compatible.  Anyone got any ideas?  My X1 box is XG1v4-A

Hey there, @user_drnef4, thanks for reaching out through Xfinity Forums regarding your 4K device. We would be happy to help you with troubleshooting. What is the current make/model of your TV?

Thank you for confirming the make and model of your TV and sharing the error code with us @user_drnef4.  Have you tried power cycling you box by unplugging it for 1-2 minutes and plugging it back in? Will you also check, and please confirm that all cable connections are secured tightly?

Thank you for letting us know that you have tried power cycling and checking cables @user_drnef4, we appreciate you taking the time to attempt those troubleshooting steps. Have you made any recent changes to your plan or channel lineup? Have you also tried using the Xfinity App to send a refresh signal to the device?

If that is the RDK-03060 message about an HDCP error, restart the box. I have two XG1v4s and restarting them fixes that error.

Are you connected directly to the TV or through another device like an AV receiver?

Do you have other 4K devices aside from the TV itself that work through the same input and cables that don't work with your XG1v4?

Have you tried taking the Xbox One out of the circuit and running the X1 direct to the TV?

I haven’t since I have to take the tv off the wall and all that.  The Xbox one x is capable of the uhd 4K so I feel I shouldn’t have to do that… but I get what you’re saying
