4K monitor not detected?!?!
Hi. I have a LG CX OLED tv which is 4K capable. I have a fiber optic 8k capable HMDI cable with HDCP 2.3 and 48gps speed connecting my Denon AVR-S960H to the eARC input on my tv. I have a X1 box model Xi6-A.
Why is it not recognizing my TV as a 4K tv?!?!
This shouldn’t be complicated. Please help!!

FWIW, that cable brings absolutely nothing to the table. You might want to try a standard 4k HDMI cable and see if that makes a difference. In addition, on many receivers, the handshake that establishes an HDMI connection between the receiver and the TV is not visible to the cable box, and in that case you will get the notification that you are describing. It does not mean that 4k is not being sent to your TV, just that the box doesn't get an expected response. Your television should be able to identify the resolution of the signal being fed to it; suggest you look at the owners manual and see how to see what signal is being input.
Edit: found this tidbit on how to check local resolution on an LG CX: On the Magic Remote click the “. . .” Button then select TV Information

You might wish to peruse the following articles and videos about LG not fully supporting 48gbs on most of their LG CX OLED TVs:

I appreciate all those who replied.
UPDATE:
I tried connecting directly to the TV, that worked, so the TV was not the issue. I then purchased 8k 48gps HDMI cables to connect from the box to the AVR and that seemed to do the trick. I am now able to get the Dolby Vision connection on the programs that have that.
The box still doesn’t recognize the monitor, but the signal is coming through.
The HDMI cable that came with the Comcast box was the issue for me.
As a note, I also did a hard refresh on my tv after connecting the new cables as that has proven to be beneficial in the past.
