4k box issues

My 4k box drops the sound frequently. This is the 2nd box and does the same thing. My daughter's 4k box loses its connection to the remote and must be restarted constantly to reconnect. Something is wrong with these boxes.

@user_b9c904 Thanks for bringing your connection issues with your 4K boxes to our attention! We can definitley troubleshoot with you to get this resolved! 

Since the 4K boxes with your internet lets check all the connections to your boxes and the modem to ensure everything is finger tight and secure?

Do you have any splitters connected to your boxes or modem?

Do you have any additional devices connected such as a separate router, Wi-Fi extenders or amplifiers connected?

When was the last time you swapped out the batteries in the remote? Have you had the chance to reprogram that remote as well?

My 4k box is connected to coax.  It is now Nov 2023 and after multiple online and phone chats with assurances the issue has been resolved, the sound still drops out and dialogue is missed which can be really annoying at crucial times in the plot of the show we are watching. It does not happen on our other TV with an HD box nor does it happen when we stream through the Xfinity Stream app on our TV. Never a problem work the picture only the sound.

@user_b9c904 Thank you for reaching out on the Xfinity Community Forums. Is this happening on one particular channels or is it all channels? Does it happen all the time or only on certain programs?
