I too have been experiencing the same issue as many others accessing Membership Benefits from multiple browsers, multiple devices and the Xfinity app and getting the following error:

"A rendering error occurred: Cannot read properties of null (reading 'fields')."

I've also tried all of the troubleshooting suggestions such as clearing cache, uninstalling/reinstalling the app without success.

Same problem, started for me when I tried to redeem rewards last week

Same here - I mean, if it's multiple people having the same error and have tried same tier 1 troubleshooting steps, it's usually not the user... usually something on the development end.

I'll add in that I am also having the same issue, and just to make sure:
1) I am getting the error 'A rendering error occurred: Cannot read properties of null (reading 'fields').'
2) This is on the https://customer.xfinity.com/membership page
3) I am the primary user, and the only user on the account
4) I have cleared my cache
5) I have tried incognito browsers
6) I have tried multiple browsers
7) I have tried this on my phone and home pc
8) I have tried this in the Xfinity App
9) This has not worked for the past week and looks like there is a bug in the code for the page. The fact that this keeps being reported and yet no fix has happened for a week is just sort of wild to see.

@user_s1ecid

 same here.  i tried thru google chrome, ms edge, at work on their server, at home thru xfinity wifi, on my mobile using cell data instead of wifi.  cleared all my cookies, browser history, site settings etc.   today i even went on my old desktop computer at home, thinking maybe there is something quooky in my laptop.  NOPE, same message: A rendering error occurred: Cannot read properties of null (reading 'fields').  comes up when i try to access the members benefits page.  i can get to any other link on their site, billing and pay bills, plan management, search for new plans etc but not the rewards.  last week, i finally called xfinity and their customer rep was no help at all, could not understand what i was trying to explain to him that the issue is with xfinity's website not me.  he wanted to ask about my tv and then tried to accept the movie reward over the phone.  he was useless.  i finally just hung up.

@XfinityBrianH I, too, have been having this issue since last week. I have tried the various troubleshooting methods discussed throughout this thread, to no avail.

Clearly this is not affecting all users b/c the rewards are getting consumed to the point that some are no longer available. You must have some idea, by now, of the subset of customers affected by this bug.

I wanted to send a direct message, however, my UI does not appear to include that as an option. How can I go about getting a ticket opened for my account? Every support link I follow gets me either back to this forum or to the AI chat bot who admits it knows nothing.

Thanks.

@XfinityBrianH The instructions you sent do not work.  There is no direct message icon on the top right.  Only the Bell notification icon and my profile icon.  And your link on how to send a direct message is cut off.

The error is still happening right now 10/21/2026 in my Xfinity app and Mobile browser. I uninstalled the app, cleared my cache and reinstalled the Xfinity app, still the same error message. Please fix as tomorrow Thursday is the reward redemption day. I don't want to miss it.

Same, I often use it for the $1 Movie weekend, and have bot been able to redeem it or anything recently. Its obviously a problem with Xfinity, why they swem to be failing to admit it when the evidence is insurmountable is whats really upsetting. We need to wait for real tech support who actually work on their servers to find the problem and fix it. Not these assistants, that feel feel they need to make you try the exact same thing the first person who had the problem already verified for them wasn't the issue. I am sure by now they know thier the problem.

Hi there, @DimensionEvil, we are indeed tracking this issue. At this time, we have no further information, I'm afraid, but it is a work in progress. Sorry for the trouble, and thanks for your patience.

I am having this issue as well. It started with trying to redeem benefits last week and is still occuring. I have cleared cache and cookies, tried in the app and browser (also in incognito mode) as well as trying on my phone and laptop. As said before this appears to be an Xfinity issue.

I am also getting this error. It has been at least 1 week and no fix from xfinity. I have done all the troubleshooting.

New rewards are coming today and this still isn't fixed. How are you going to compensate us?

Fiber was installed on our street last year. I'm looking into switching now. This situation isn't helping to keep me as a customer.

Same issue with me as well. Rendering error just for Membership Benefits.  Tried everything that was mentioned on this forum.  Pretty ridiculous for a company as large as Xfinity to have a page rendering issue for over a week with no acknowledgement or updates.

Pass this on to your developers. Took me 5 minutes to find the source of the crash without backend access. Get your heads out of sand. This is ridiculous.

The Membership page (customer.xfinity.com/membership) crashes with “A rendering error occurred.” In the page data, the RewardsTemplate component’s template field is null, and main-60c20dcf.js reads template.fields.Value.value, so it throws “Cannot read properties of null (reading ‘fields’).”

The crash IS caused by this line:
fields: { template: d } = e;   // d = the "template" field
...
V = d.fields.Value.value       // d is null, so this throws

The top-level RewardsTemplate component has:

json
"fields": {
  "accountIneligibleDays": { "value": "4" },
  "template": null,
  ...
}

So Xfinity’s content system is sending the Membership page without its required template setting, and your code reads template.fields.Value.value with no null check. The whole page fails before account data, cookies or URL are even used.

This means:

  • No URL variable, cookie reset or account switch will fix it. The setting is missing on their server, likely for everyone, or at least for my customer segment.
  • Only Xfinity can fix it, by filling in that field in their content system or adding a null check to their code.

sleegoo Thank you for sharing that feedback. I completely understand your frustration. While I don't have a direct line to the developers, I can assure you that our backend teams are aware of the issue and actively working toward a fix. We know this has been impacting customers for some time, and we appreciate your patience as the investigation continues.

@XfinityChristy can you find out if there will be any compensation or rewards for those of us that are affected by the problem? I would like to see how Xfinity is going to make this right.

sleegoo I understand your concern. At this time, I haven't seen any information about compensation or additional Rewards being offered for this issue. Our teams remain focused on getting it resolved as quickly as possible, and we'll share any updates if that changes. Thank you for your patience.

I just uninstalled the xfinity app and installed it again today 10-22-2026 and it's still not working a week later. When I click on any member benefit  it's still giving a white screen with only the text that says "A rendering error occurred: Cannot read properties of null (reading 'fields')".

The same thing happens when I login to Xfinity on any browser on different computers. Something is broken with the benefits section. Are you able to create a ticket and report to the engineer team or I.T.? There is a bug in the benefits section that doesn't allow them to load for many users. I'm afraid I will miss out on benefits again this week again as some are able to claim the rewards but many people can't due to the system glitch :(
