How to add URL suffix to "safe list" in Advanced Security?

Hi, folks,

Some of the end points that I am using for work are treated as potential threat by Advanced Security and connection is denied. How do I enable safe suffix(es) in Advanced Security? I don't see any option like that - only "Allow" for individual endpoints - including server/port names, which are many and random, it just won't work if I play "whack-a-mole" for every server that Xfinity decides is unsafe.

thank you and kind regards,

Dmitry

Hey there, @user_cc9ed7, thanks for reaching out through Xfinity Forums regarding your xFi Advance Security! We definitely want to ensure you are still able to access the websites that you need for work. Just to confirm, you are noticing this issue with a number of websites or just a single one?

Multiple endpoints, two distinct suffixes. So, is there a way I can add them (suffix, not just an individual endpoint url) to any sort of white list? Thank you.

That’s a great question! As you mentioned before, there is the option to “Allow” which is for specific sites but to allow bulk, restricted sites that are not individually managed, you would need to disable the Advanced Security through the modem. As I am sure you are aware, this also removes certain protections. We would not recommend disabling this feature so instead, we recommend you leave the Advanced Security on and allow (EDIT: Formatting) access to a specific device as an alternative.

The “Allow Access” feature well only permit access to a specific device you choose on the specified port by using a specific source IP address for 30 days from the time you enable it. Would you believe that this may work for your intended purpose?
