Showtime subscriptions from other providers not honored by Xfinity
Why don't subscriptions to Showtime from other source (such as Samsung trial offers) work on Xfinity X1 service. Even though I have a six month subcription for buying a new Samsung TV, the Showtime app via Xfinity has no support for enabling the subscription and basically requires an additional subscription.

Do you have an app for Showtime on your Samsung TV? If so you need to use that app.
Comcast no contract with Samsung.

Thanks for the reply, and yes the Showtime app on TV works. Its too bad that Showtime seems to be one of the few subscription serviecs that don't port over to Xfinity, unlike many others that do, such as Hulu, Netflix, Amazon Prime, CBS All Access.
