$5.99 xfinity movie rental coupon

Hi I received an email saying how it was my xfinity anniversary, and I was getting an $5.99 coupon to rent a movie. I activated the coupon and then found a movie to rent for $3.99 but I'm not sure if it applied the coupon exactly. I don't quite know what to do in getting the coupon to apply. Thanks for any help.

There should be instructions with the coupon on how to use it. I think typically it will auto-apply when you rent the movie. In the past, the discount would be immediately applied, and any pending billing will be reduced by that much. Then the next month, the rental fee will be on the bill and that bill will go up by the discount amount.

To send a "direct message" / "private message" message to Xfinity Support:

 • Click "Sign In" if necessary

 • Click the "Direct Message" icon or https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging 

 • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

 • The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there

 •  - As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list

 •  - An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

 • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

 • Press Enter to send it
