Xumo set up w/o active internet

I am truly baffled by the setup of my Xfinity xumo box. I don't know how, but it is connected w/o internet and I was able to sign in to all the apps. When the second box didn't set up the same way, I looked at the connection type on the first one and it says it's an ethernet connection. There's no ethernet cable so I have no idea how it's getting service!

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "Direct Message" icon or  https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there.

As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.

An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it
