XR2 remote paired with Vizio TV

I moved a Vizio TV (which was already connected to my Comcast cable with digital converter) from bedroom to kitchen TV with new digital converter. Connected new digital converter to TV and paired new comcast XR2 remote (using 981 code).  TV and guide and channels work with XR2 BUT have to use BOTH comcast remote AND Vizio remote because comcast remote WON'T control volume or power on/off...have to use TV remote to adjust volume and turn TV on/off. How fix so ONLY have to use XR2 remote?
