Unable to pair cablecard
I got a new Tivo DVR and have been trying to my cablecard paired, but have not had any success. The online tool is great in theory, but fails every time, presumable because it is paired to my old Tivo. No one I have talked to has been able to help. I did the live agent chat, she tried for 30 minutes but couldn't help and told me to call the 'cablecard activation number', which as far as I can tell is just the regular support number. I called and talked to a very nice agent who told me his tools would not let him do it, and I needed to call the cablecard activation number, and gave me the same number I called to get to him. He said someone would call me back from the right department. When I got the callback, the agent was very pleasant and wanted to help, but she didn't even know what it meant to pair a cablecard.
Is there a number to a department that actually knows what they are doing?
