Tivo Mini cannot find my Roamio V70

I have a Tivo Mini and I can't get it to recognize the Tivo on my network to connect.  This has worked in the past with a different Mini, but my old Mini broke so I had to bring up a new Mini.  Here is the current configuration and what I've tried.

  • The Tivo on the system is a Roamio.
  • They are both coming right off my router without any switch in between
  • I've tried power cycling the entire system, including the router, and both Tivo Roamio and Mini in the order recommended
  • I have reconnected to the service repeatedly over the past several days, and powered cycled both the Tivo and Mini
  • The message says that there is no DVR available, with the error code V70

The Mini was originally owned by someone else, and I had it reactivated to my account.  I am beginning to suspect that there is some backend issue where the activation did not complete even though it claims to be on my account.  Any ideas on how to get them to see each other?

user_9tlwyi Thank you for reaching out! Have you checked the Xfinity CableCARD activation and pairing site to ensure your CableCARD is configured correctly?

Thank you for your response.  The CableCARD pairing site didn’t work a while ago when I tried it, but an xfinity person on this forum was able to get it working on the factory end.  This was a few weeks ago.  I can get all my channels on the Roamio, so I believe that the CableCARD is correctly paired, since before it got paired it would not enable any of my channels.  The issue at this point is with the Mini not recognizing any TiVos.

I had to contact the Tivo folks to get the Mini activated on my account, but I guess I need to contact them at this point.

I contacted Tivo and finally found someone that knew what to do, so it’s resolved.  For anyone that gets to this issue here, you need to tell them to refresh your account on their side, then reboot both the Tivo & Mini, in that order, a connect to the service on each one after it boots.
