Small set box blinks red and blue

Small set box keeps blinking red and blue (2 red blinks and 1 blue). I've tried unplugging all the connections in the back (power, hdmi, cable). After plugging everything back in, the box tries to do a software update ("A software update is in process. Attempting to acquire current software. RDK-03011-0"). After a few minutes, the update fails. The message says: "Give us a call. We've run into a problem here. Sorry about that. We'll take care of this as quickly as possible. Download status: failed to download image. RDK-03011-2".

I tried following the instructions given by the virtual assistant via tablet but still nothing. What to do?

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or https://comca.st/3EqVMu7

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there

 - As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list

 - An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it

Update: I ended up calling Customer Service and was instructed to get a replacement box. I did, and the new box is working fine. Thanks.
