screensaver

I live in Northern California and last week (12/13/2023) I noticed that xfinity took away the choice to have the animal screensaver. Why was that decision made? It's bad enough that the screensaver is forced upon the customers, but to take away the choice and only provide landscapes/cityscapes is very annoying.

@user_01702b Please send us a DM with your full name and address to Xfinity Support.

 

To send a direct message:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "Direct Message" icon or  https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there.

As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.

An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

I noticed it too. Tried to get rid of the cityscapes today (I don't want to look at modern ugly cities with crowds of people and too many lights. It's why I don't live or work in one) and all options were gone. Just keep taking away but the prices keep going up. I have a list of reasons I use Comcast and everytime another gets crossed off, the more I look at value add for a large chunk of cash.  As an exec myself, financial projections and profits per quarter addiction have blacked out the big picture which is product and customer. You can make billions with good product, good service and happy customers. Nickel and diming us to death is bad business. I always give more value to the customer than I receive for a buck. Value is measured in perception and experience not just dollars.

@KatoftheFuzzySocks​ maybe we need to find another tv source , and not use xfinity,  because our bill goes up but we lose more and more choices  I'm going to look into some satellite choices

Yes! I was so mad when all I see are boring country side and city photos! I adored the animal ones so much and our family would always look forward to the new batch. BRING BACK THE ANIMALS!!

I was also mad and annoyed that the animals were taken away!  There was no notice or information given from Xfinity about this and I am growing increasingly frustrated with them and their services....especially at these prices!  BRING BACK THE ANIMALS!!

As usual a [Edited: Language] answer from a so called "Official Employee". Xfinity took away the news and entertainment page and now they have taken away the screen saver choices of which we loved the animal pics... they're gone. 

We pay a ton of money and don't get a choice or say. Same Xfinity [Edited: Language]...different day.

WHY? Who at Xfinity made the decision to remove the animal screensaver? Was it deemed as some sort of improvement at Xfinity? It's NOT! 

PLEASE return to your subscribers the CHOICE of screensavers, or give us a good explanation as to why we now have NO choice.

“All other screen savers” would imply that we still have a choice of screen savers, which we do not. There is only a lame city screen saver. There are no other options to choose from.
PLEASE BRING BACK THE ANIMAL SCREENSAVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You have the option of changing the screensaver start time - up to a five hour delay. That's what I did so I don't have to look at Comcast's choice of screensaver!

I am still waiting for the ANIMAL screensaver but I am not holding my breath.

Attached to my latest bill is a schedule of new price changes for some of their services - all increases. Nickeled and dimed to death! Ha! They could always add on an additional fee for screensaver options! Shhh, 🤫 don't give them any ideas.

Considering switching to a different service or just sucking it up and getting an antenna.

[Edited: "Language"]! Why all of a sudden I can't have my TV on as long as I want. It's a home security issue 4 me. Been doing it for 30+yrs. You disabled a few yrs ago, then it was working all day. Now, all of a sudden you start this [Edited: "Language"] again that you really legally have no right due to people's medical, psychological or safety issues. You legally CANNOT dictate how long a household has any TV on. Lawsuits are on their way. If my house gets broken into cuz they don't hear a TV on, [Edited: "Inflammatory"]. You have been notified.
