Replacement XiP-D cable box will not connect

Recently returned a Motorola MTR700 because it would not stay powered on for anything longer than a second or two.  Gentleman at the Comcast store said that now we could get the XiP-D box as a replacement. Ok.  So I get the box back home and try to install it and gives me the error about there being a problem try tightening all connections, yada yada and restart.  Did all that still no connection.  Then I thought maybe it was just because of the multiple splitters the signal had to go through to reach this tv.  Moved the box to the closest least split section of the line (1 split with line going to cable modem and 1 going to our main box a Motorola DCH70 and that splitter was installed by a Comcast tech.).  Still no connection trying either line coming from that first splitter.  Then after some googling I saw something about needing a MoCA PoE filter for these boxes.  Fine. Got a filter and installed it and still no connection with any of the previous connection variations.  Now before I exchange this for another box or call customer service , my question is does the XiP-D work in a home with the DCH70 as the main box or does that have to be upgrade as well to an X1 box?  Other than this box being broken that's the only other thing I can think of.

Greetings, @Dommer75! Thanks for reaching out to us on the Forums! I hope you are having an amazing day! I apologize to hear that you are having issues with getting you new box up and running. The XiD will not work with the DCH70 and is only compatible with the XG1 or XG2. Just to make sure there isn't anything else going on, are you also getting an error code from this that starts with XRE or RDK? This can help us see if there is anything else that is going on as well.
