Re: August 1st Changes

@ComcastJessie - How do we get a digital tuning adapter for Switched Digital Video?  There are about 40 channels that, as of right now, I cannot view without it, and it has to come from the cable provider.  I've spoken with multiple people at Xfinity and no one seems to know anything about it.  I tried sitting on hold for Video Troubleshooting, but after being on hold for 2 hours, gave up.

It should be a relatively small box with a coax input/output, and a USB plug.  They've been around for about 5 years now, and services like Spectrum and Time Warner have information available on their website about them.  It was also in the most recent Xfinity customer communication that they are able to be provided by Xfinity.

Wow I thought comcast canned this SDV years ago. Where are you located that this is happening?

I’m in Canton, GA. They literally just launched SDV here about a year ago. Only on some of the lesser watched channels, but one of them is the HD version of Nick Jr, and with a 2 year old, it’s a pretty important channel to have.

I think you are talking about IPTV, not SDV. IPTV requires an X1-level box as more and more channels are IP-based, not QAM from a regular tuner.
