There is no manual and that Ethernet port is non-functional

@CCAndrew That's unfortunate. Is there a firmware package I can download to update the STB to the latest revision?

Are there any after market STBs where these ports are enabled?

Main cable boxes are NOT for sale to users. You have no control over the software and firmware used.

The closest to a user-owned box you can use is something like a Tivo or other device that uses a CableCard.
