Pausing live TV

For 3 days now I have been getting the runaround from Xfinity on this problem. After being cut off several times, I can't seem to get anyone to help me with this. I even got a new remote and that still doesn't work. They just keep rebooting my system!  I've always been able to pause live TV before. Why is it suddenly I can't?  Help!

I am having the same exact issue and cannot get anyone to resolve this.
