Onn. 42" 5.1.2 Dolby Atmos Soundbar pairing with XR15 Remote

I am looking for some help with pairing my XR15 remote with our new Onn. soundbar.  Went through the setup and it says it cannot be paired at this time.  Can i get a walk through on how to get this soundbar paired?
