No sound

Does TV Audio go through the XFI (XB8) Gateway?

I have no sound from my TV.

Reboot did not help.

never had the no sound issue with the old XB7 Gateway.

Thank you very much for reaching out to our team here. The audio for the TV does not normally go through the modem. I would be happy to troubleshoot any issue with the audio service from here for you. Could you send me a direct message with the full name and complete address for your service?

   Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

   The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there.

   - As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.

   - An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.

   Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

   Press Enter to send it

Thank you John! The next day, when I turned on XFinity…sound was back to normal. No idea what caused the issue the evening before.

Thanks to your response… I know that the newly installed Gateway was not the cause.
