Motorola dtc700 cable box

My cable box doesn't seem to be getting any power to it. First I had an orange light, then a blinking red light, and now no light where it says "ON", on the cable box. Yes it is plugged in and yes, I tried plugging it into a different outlet. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

The power supply on that model may have taken a surge and no longer works. Check your local service center for a replacement

If I ask a service tech to either replace the power cord, or the cable box, will I be charged a service call charge? Also, would I be able to find a compatible power cord on Amazon? Thank you for your reply..

There’s no service charge for equipment related issues. If you can find a proper replacement go for it, just match the specs exactly
