Lost All Sound On TV
Turned on my TV tonight & couldn't get sound on any channel or on any On Demand programming. TV was fine last night & nothing was changed. TV was NOT muted and volume was the same as it has been. Using the TV speakers. Went thru all the settings & all looked good. Other TVs in the house are fine. Could this just be a set top box problem and swapping it out might resolve the issue or could it actually be an audio problem with the TV itself? It's a Samsung that's about 5 years old. Thanks.

I did do a power cycle on the cable box, but that didn't help. The following morning I turned the TV on and the sound was fine and I haven't had any problems since. I'm thinking that there might be an intermittent problem with the cable box or there was some sort of outage related to audio, although I did check and there were no outages reported. Will post again if I have issues. Tks.

Greetings, @50strings! Thanks for reaching out to us on the Forums! I hope you are having an amazing day! I apologize to hear of the issues you are having with the audio on this TV. One way to rule out if it's the cable box or the TV would be to hook the cable box up to a different TV to see if you get audio from a different tv. Another thing to try would be a power cycle on the cable box itself (unplug the power for about 30 seconds and then plug it back in) to see if this clears things up as well.
