HD channels too large for my TV screen

Recently I noticed my HD channels are too large for my tv screen. I used the remote that controls my tv to try to change the picture but that did not work. The SD channels fit perfectly however when I go to HD multiple things will be off the screen. Such as the leaderboard during the masters. There’s nothing on my remote to the cable box that allows me to change the tv zoom. Anyone else have this problem?

Hi @user_d10c85. I'm sorry to hear that some channels appear to be zoomed in for some reason. Has this continued to happen over the last few days? Was it only occurring on certain HD channels or all HD channels? I found this great article from our website that might help to check the device settings from your cable box for the resolution. Adjusting Video Display Let me know if this helps at all.

I have this problem periodically.   The only way I could fix it was to unplug my box for 30 seconds.   I went thru the private trouble shooting scenarios which didn't work.   Comcast's solution (as always) was to upgrade.

... HD channels are too large for my tv screen ...

If you have a legacy model TV box and a silver remote with a red or gray "OK" button, press the HD Zoom button on that remote.
