Emergency Weather Broadcast
This evening on my TV that is connected to a DTA I got a Emergency Weather message
On a TV that is connected with a Set Top box I got the regular programming for that channel.
While on one hand I am upset about having regular programming interrupted, I am more upset about NOT GETTING EMERGENCY INFORMATION on all sets, no matter what kind of connection they have to my Xfinity service.

Hello @mmi160. Thank you for reaching out to us over our Community Forums. The EAS (Emergency Alert System) is a national public warning system that requires broadcasters, cable television systems, wireless cable systems, satellite digital audio radio service (SDARS) providers and direct broadcast satellite (DBS) service providers to provide the communications capability to the President to address the American public during a national emergency.
The system also may be used by state and local authorities to deliver important emergency information such as Amber alerts and weather information targeted to a specific area.
The EAS pass-through is automated within Comcast’s cable infrastructure. Thus, and message should pass through to our customers TV boxes without problems. Xfinity doesn't issue, control or alter the alert messages in any way. Xfinity merely passes through messages that federal, state or local authorities choose to send to the public.
When a customer doesn't receive an EAS alert to their TV, we have a team in place that needs to be notified. To report this issue, please send an email to ops_compliance_eas@.comcast.com. Please include your name, and service address. Thank you!
