DVR recordings interrupt

Frequently, at least once an evening and often more, while watching a DVR recorded program, the recording will stall and the the TV is "kicked out" of the DVR and goes back to live TV.

We then have to go back into the DVR, find the program and then fast forward from the beginning of the program to where it left off (it does NOT allow you to RESUME the recording).  Also, we have to Fast Forward carefully, through the point where the program stopped in order to view the reminder of the recorded program.  Very annoying, very time consuming.  We pay way too much for this kind of lousy technology.

I am sorry to hear that this happens. Do you notice if the cable box reboots around the time while the program is recording? That can cause a split recording.

@XfinityDena

We exchanged our Xfinity cable box for a new one at the Xfinity store near us.

So far, the problem has not reoccurred.
