DTA Operation

Periodically when I turn my TV on in the morning.  The screen comes up blank, not receiving any signal from the DTA that it is connected to.  Turning the power off of the DTA and than plugging it back in will restart the DTA and the picture.  What is going on?

@mmi16 Thank you for reaching out to us, are you also turning off the DTA when when you are turning off the TV or are you leaving the DTA on at the beginning?

@XfinityJamie DTA stays powered on 24/7/365.  Only the TV powers down for the night.  When the issue happens the DTA power light is lit.

Got it. To ensure all updates process successfully and to avoid overheating, it is usually a good idea to shut it off when not in use. Depending on the equipment, you may still see the time display on the front screen. However, the box is not considered running. Give that a try moving forward, and see if it helps.

@XfinityVanessa - DTA box does not display time on front 'screen' only the power light.  I might add that this particular DTA does not have an HDMI outlet, only coax.

Does unplugging the box and plugging it back in fix the issue with the clock?

There IS NO CLOCK on the DTA box.  This IS NOT the set top box and the Set Top Box that was installed a couple of years ago by the Comcast technician who responded to another DTA that would not display any picture, the technician replaced the one that was not working with one that has both coax and HDMI output.  The DTA I am having issues with is one that was sent to me when Comcast switched from analog to digital signal transmission.

The DTA in question does not have any on/off switch - I unplug and replug the power cable to cycle it when necessary.
