do the new xfinity tv cable boxes require an HDMI port ?

hi ...

i'm a senior citizen with a really old tv (25 years plus) that works great and suits me fine ...

i've been experiencing picture freezing and pixelation and dropped frames and out of sync video and audio

intermittently so xfinity wants to come out and replace the cable tv box i rent from them which is really old

and check the external wiring etc etc ...

my question is do the newer cable tv boxes require an HDMI port on the TV ? ... my old tv only has the standard coax cable

ports and the current xfinity cable tv box connects coax from the cable tv box to coax on my tv ...
