Discovery plus app

The app is super glitchy. Sometimes I doesn't show programs I've saved. It doesn't resume play where the program was paused. And right now it won't even open. I've already restarted the TV box but the app won't open.

Hey there! This is definitely not what we like to hear and I'd love to help. Are you having this same issue with your app on multiple devices? Is it the Xfinity Stream App that is causing you trouble?

@XfinitySheila​ I'm having this problem on both of my TVs, not on the Xfinity streaming app.

Thank you for explaining. I see the post is for the Discovery plus app. Are you using the app through a X1 cable box? I can work with out teams to help sort out any issues with how the app loads and plays content.

I just got Discovery Plus and it was buffering so bad I couldn’t watch anything. Now I only get the logo and can’t do anything. I just got new cable boxes today. I guess I need to cancel Discovery Plus???

@user_bbb8e5, Darn, I'm sorry to hear you had that issue as soon as you paid for Discovery+. I love that channel and I know they have alot more content on that platform, so lets roll up our sleeves and get to the bottom of this. To confirm, you're having this issue when accessing the app through your cable box? Is the issue present on all of your cable boxes?

I have 3 of the small X1 boxes and it happens on all 3. Just sits in the gray Discovery + screen forever and never opens. I have tried unplugging all 3 boxes to reset, I also opened my Discovery + app and signed out of all devices.

I've had the same  problem all week. I'm a longtime Xfinity customer with X1 and have had Discovery Plus since the app was first added to X1. It was working ok up until the beginning of this week when it just does nothing. I click onto it, and it doesn't even connect. Can you help me?

And all the and responses through the forums. Can you contact me for more information? I’m an official Xfinity employee. I wrote about this issue 3 months ago and it still never got solved and then they told me it was a discovery plus issue when it works fine when I’m streaming from my phone, my laptop or anywhere else but it will never work on Xfinity anymore. But Xfinity you keep saying it’s a discovery plus issue!

Have you tried clearing the cache and cookies on your X1 box, as another user suggested, to see if this resolved the issue?

So I went into my settings on my main box and cleared the cache and it has worked fine ever since then.
