Disconnecting Cable Box Other Box Breaks

Hello I'm trying to unplug a cable box I have in one of my rooms. When we disconnect it the cable box we have in another room stops working for no reason.  I would like help to fix this .

If it’s an X1 box, the second box feeds of the first that you’re unplugging. What exactly are you trying to do with the first one?
