coax outlet is 'male'

One of the coax outlets in my apartment that I want to use for my router install is 'male' (has wire protruding). Router seems to want to use a 'female' outlet. Can I change the existing outlet to female with an adapter? Will that work?

Hello! Thank you for reaching out to the Digital Care Team today. We can not guarantee a use of a third party adapter to change the coax outlet will work. If you do not have the correct outlet, we would recommend changing it or hiring a third party electrician to do so.

Comcast now offers our customers even more options! We allow all cable customers the stream option rather than leasing cable boxes per month. Our amazing Xfinity Stream app can provide all the same content at a fraction of the cost, when used on compatible devices such as mobile phones, tablet, or even televisions! You will need a compatible device to use it on the larger screen option. We love to be as transparent as possible and the choice to do this or not can be made anytime.

@XfinityHeather Thank you. To clarify: does this mean that I can stream through my internet TV and wireless router the same content that would be available via the cable box?

Correct! You can use our Xfinity Stream app to watch channels that are in your lineup. When you're connected to your home network, you will be able to view all channels. We do have a list of channels that are available when you're not home. If you go to https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/tv-go-live-streaming-networks, you can view a list of them! Let me know if you have any questions about this!

I no longer work for Comcast.

Thanks. That would be an ideal solution. How do I get the required app onto my Google smart TV? I don't seem to see an Xfinity app listed.
