cablecard devices

We lease a X1 set top box and remote from Xfinity which costs us $10, - a month. Purchasing a customer owned cablecard device seems to be an option. Xfinity claims they support them and offers a cablecard kit. They also list five (5!) device manufacturers that they support, but when you search Amazon (!), or Walmart, Best Buy, no current models are available or the specifications are awful, e.g. 720dpi HDMI. Otherwise, you may be lucky to find them used on eBay. It's like they support them, but not really. I would like Xfinity to provide a current list of manufacturers and models of devices they support and that are easily available through common retail resources. Thank you.

Hello, @user_qf713t. We appreciate you reaching our team regarding CableCARDS. We support CableCARD-compatible retail devices, such as TiVo, SiliconDust (HD Homerun Prime), Ceton (InfiniTV), Samsung (Smart Media Player) and Hauppauge. I recommend visiting this link for further details.

user_qf713t Unfortunately, I do not see a list available for all current make/models other than the link above. The only information I was able to find from TiVo showed their Series 4 models are compatible. Still checking every avenue for more information to share.
  • TiVo Premiere Models:
    • TCD746320 - TiVo Premiere
    • TCD748000 - TiVo Premiere XL
    • TCD758250 - TiVo Premiere Elite/XL4
    • TCD746500 - TiVo Premiere (Retail and 500GB)
