Cable Cards stopped working

My two TIVO boxes with PKM908 Cable Cards worked on Wednesday night but were not working on Thursday morning.  The error message was: "This channel is not authorized.  Contact your cable provider for more information (V58)."  On both TIVOs, no channels were authorized.

I have not made any changes in the last year to my Cable TV, Internet, or Voice service.

I contacted Xfinity for help on Thursday.  They did basic trouble shooting, but I was told Xfinity has no ability to fix my issue since their Tiered support cable card team no longer exists.

Since both cable cards stopped working at the same time, I believe there was an Xfinity provisioning or maintenance change that is causing no channels to be authorized in my cable cards.  How can I reach someone that can fix my issue?

Thank you for reaching out @Paul_F_NJ As of October 24, 2024, Xfinity has officially ended its CableCARD program. This means we will no longer provide or support CableCARDs for new or existing customers. Once they stop working we are unable to use the cable cards. I totally get how this is not the best answer or the most desirable and I am really sorry.

I am not looking for a new cable card.  I understand new cable cards are no longer provided.   I have not changed my service in the last year.

An Xfinity maintenance or provisioning issue caused my cable cards to no longer have any authorized channels.   My card is still working, but a provisioning or maintenance error is causing me to have no authorized channels.  Someone should be able to fix the provisioning or maintenance error.

Previous Xfinity posts have stated:

Xfinity, starting October 2024, no longer provides new CableCARDs to new or existing customers.

However, Xfinity still supports existing CableCARDs and offers troubleshooting assistance.

How do I get the maintenance or provisioning error impacting my service fixed?

Unfortunately it sounds like you already completed the basic troubleshooting steps we have to offer. We no longer support cable cards. Once they stop working we are unable to get them working again @Paul_F_NJ Would you be interested in getting cable boxes for your home?
