One Contact calls and gets dropped as soon as I answer!

I have a OnePlus 13 that drops the call everytime from only one contact only.  That person has an iphone and it doesn't happen on their end with any other person except me.  I have done everything (new sim card, factory reset etc ) with no resolution.  [Edited: "Language"]? Since Xfinity does not sell or support OnePlus phones, I have gotten zero in-store assistance - I had to get the new sim card via online support. Any suggestions are welcomed!

Hi there! That’s a really odd one, and we get why it’s frustrating, especially after everything you’ve already tried.

Since it’s only happening with one specific contact, that actually points away from the SIM or the phone itself and more toward how the call is being routed between the two devices.

A few things to try that have helped in cases like this:

- First, have that contact delete your number and re-save it, making sure it’s saved in the full format (including +1). You can do the same on your end with their number. It sounds simple, but contact formatting can cause weird one-off issues.

- Next, check if either of you has WiFi calling or VoLTE enabled, and try turning it off temporarily to test. Sometimes calls between different device types (Android ↔ iPhone) can have issues when those features are active.

- Also, ask them to try calling you from a different app or method, like FaceTime Audio, WhatsApp, or even another phone if possible. This helps confirm whether it’s a network routing issue vs. something tied specifically to standard voice calls.

Since you’re using a OnePlus device (which isn’t one we officially support), there can occasionally be compatibility quirks, especially with certain features like HD Voice or advanced calling between networks.

If it still only happens with that one person after trying the above, it may be worth having them check with their carrier as well, since the issue could be on the routing side from their network.

Let us know what you find, we’ll stick with you on it 👍
