Feedback for Xfinity Mobile - Add Option for Customer-Created PIN to prevent SIM Swapping / Porting out

Hi there,

I wanted to express my request and suggestion that your security team prioritize a key feature that is missing from Xfinity Mobile security.

With the rise of so many security breaches, many consumers now have their identifying info available on the dark web and elsewhere.   Xfinity’s current security protocol allows anyone who knows my home address (easy to get), phone number (easy to get), and last for our my credit card (increasingly easy to get) to call into Xfinity Support and gain access to an account, claiming that they’d lost the phone.

This is unacceptable.   Could you please get this message in your Security Departments hands and add it to cue??

One solution I know of that would prevent this is to create an optional customer-created PIN that would be necessary in cases a customer has lost a phone and needs to gain access to the account / phone number.  To prevent digital SIM Porting / swapping..

A friend just had this happen to him and almost lost $25K in a resulting attempted fraudulent wire transfer from his bank account.

I’d really like to stay with Xfinity, but if you’re not going to update your security, then I think I’ll need to leave – and I’m going to let my friends know as well.

Please respond to acknowledge receipt of this message,

Thank you!

thank you.  Whatever you can do to elevate this, or underscore it.   With the dramatic rise in widespread breaches of personal information, these sort of security feature is more and more needed.  Frankly, I'd love to stay with Xfinity Mobile, but I might not feel comfortable staying unless I see something real change in the next few months.
