No dial tone

I have no dial tone. My phone has been plugged into thr cfinity modem this whole time. I tried a chorded phone into the modem as well and nothing. The xfinity site has no way to trouble shoot voice directly. It's been an hour I've been trying and i only get the same 3 steps. I have no idea how long it's not been working.

I am having the same issue. calling is worthless. they say there is a modem check in progress and then say they can't complete the check and they hang up. meatime I have no phone and no way of telling people that I have no phone.

Me too. No home phone. Thank goodness for my cell phone.

Hello, there have been no changes. Everything else works just fine just no voice services except voicemail.

Please send us a direct chat message with your full name and complete service address to “Xfinity Support”. To do so, click on the chat icon located at the top right of this forums page.
Here's the detailed steps to direct message us: 
 • Click "Sign In" if necessary
 • Click the "Direct Message” icon (upper right corner of this page)
 • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
 • Type "Xfinity Support" in the to line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list
 • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
 • Press Enter to send your message
