No Dial Tone for Home Phone

I do not have any dial tone on my home phone. I read and followed the trouble-shooting article. I plugged my phone directly into the X1 modem in the phone port and I don't have any dial tone. What should I do now?

@XfinityDemitrius​ I'm having the same problem. Replaced a xfinity modem yesterday with another xfinity modem. Phone service isn't working. No dial tone, no blinking light in the #1 slot of the modem (others are blinking). Internet is fine, TV is fine, security is fine, cell phone is fine, it's just the home phone.

Tried plugging the phone jack directly into the wall below the cable input, nada.
