The certificate for domain 'imap-east.ge.xfinity.com' is untrusted.
All day (9/12/2022), the Comcast mail system has been error-prone. In most cases, it just times out and suggests trying later (not an option for me). Now it seems that a problem is with a certificate.
The message is: "The certificate for domain 'IMAP-east.ge.xfinity.com' is untrusted." So, where do we go with this creaky system? Tests run from an iPhone or an IPad do not reveal a problem, but the laptop browser version (Google, Firefox, Edge) definitely does have a problem.
What can I do to identify the problem, and what is Concast doing to fix the problem?

I have the same issue. Cleared my browser cache and was able to 1 email, then the error came back.

Started getting this tonight on webmail. Never had a problem before. Did you let your certificate expire? PLEASE FIX!!!
The certificate for domain 'imap-east.ge.xfinity.com' is untrusted.
UPDATE:
Yes they are aware of it. SOMEONE forgot to renew their SSL CERTIFICATE so it seems the whole east coast is down.
I am in Mass right now, but I see people posting from NH to NJ complaining of the same thing.
She said it won't be fixed for 48 hours.
Tomorrow is voting day in NH and essential that I can get online.
UPDATE: September 13, 10:30 AM ET
Seems sending and receiving as been restored but if I try to view sent mail I can't. I imagine there is a backlog right now.

This now pops up when you go onto Xfinity home page.
Users Unable to Access Comcast.net EmailWe are aware that customers are experiencing issues with their Comcast.net emails and are working to fix them as quickly as possible. We appreciate your patience.

Getting same message in NH. My main account has been getting messages but is acting squirrelly. My two secondary accts are totally down. Says there is an SSL issue.

My inbox is showing all my incoming emails, but any response not only does not get sent , the reply message disappears entirely with no trace. While in compose mode Draft says saved, or saving, yet nothing is actually saved, so there is no chance of re sending without retyping entirely.
Send gets me "The certificate for domain 'imap-east.ge.xfinity.com' is untrusted." message, and swallows the message.

Same issue all day in Maryland. I thought it was the pending thunder storm, but no. That's passed, but the problem hasn't!

Oakland, California and its been happening all day. Jeez, we could try and call Comcast for support but other then being told many times how happy they are to hear from us and that they kindly support person we are speaking to is going to insure, repeatedly, that the problem is fixed . . . the problem will not be fixed.
Surely Comcast knows of this "The certificate for domain 'imap-east.ge.xfinity.com' is untrusted." and is working to resolve it. It only occurs on Chrome browser for me, not iphone.

I tried logging out and back in but got:
504 Gateway Time-out
The server didn't respond in time.
I use this account for work and can't have it down like this...
