Restore @comcast.net email account

I was a long time comcast then xfinity customer.  We moved about 8 years ago to a suburb where xfinity doesn't provide service.  I had some private email addresses that ended with @comcast.net.  Recently I have not been able to login to my acount to send and receive emails.  This is a problem since I registered for a couple of services using my @comcast.net email address.   Is there a way to get my old account re-activated so I can send and receive emails on the comcast.net domain?

Is there another approach to get emails to and from comcast.net?

Thanks,

K-

Hello, user_oyi8oi! Thank you for reaching out. What is the error message or code you're receiving when trying to access your Comcast.net email? Please visit xfinity.com/support/internet for great information on the features and functionality of your email account.

I try logging in with my old id and it wants to send a confirmation code to the old email address (which I cannot access).   I read through the website guidelines for recovery and it says to ask the provider for your old email address to re-instantiate it.  That is what I am doing here.  My old email address is a comcast.net domain address.   I need Xfinity (or Comcast) to re-enable my email addresses.

user_oyi8oi Hello and thank you for reaching out via our Xfinty Community Forums. I would be happy to help you get access to your account. To get started, please send a direct message with your full name, address, and your email address you are having an issue with.

To send a "Direct Message" message:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon at the top of the page (it looks like a text bubble)

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list that appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it

I’ve tried everything I can’t find a way to restore my emails that I have already received and the ones that I still had my inbox that I did not delete. I do have all my sent emails But I can’t get my emails that were in my mail app in box folder from Comcast

Hi @Sgoodchild Thank you for reaching out today on the Xfinity Community Forums. Are you using a third party mail application? Have you attempted to recover emails in the Xfinity email, if less than 30 days?

user_ihydzc Hello, and thank you for reaching out via our Xfinity Community Forums. If your old Xfinity (formerly Comcast) email address is not working, it's likely due to inactivity or a change in your account status. Do you recall the last time you logged in to your old email address? You must log into your email account(s) using the Xfinity Connect web portal at least once every 12 months to maintain an active email account status.

If you don’t log into your Comcast email account(s) at least once every 12 months, we’ll designate it as inactive and delete it along with all the contents, including emails, draft emails, and address book entries.

Here is a great article from our website that provides all the emails about your Xfinity email account. Please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.
