New/Upcoming Switch to Yahoo email

With the switch to Yahoo Mail per https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/yahoo-email-migration-overview

Does anyone know what will be the new IMAP and SMTP server settings?

Needed for third party email clients.

I also gather that Xfinity web mail will no longer be available after the switch.

Thus, we will have to access emails through the Yahoo web portal.

If you cancel Xfinity will you still be able access one's email as per https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/using-email-only.

But, substituting Xfinity web mail for Yahoo web mail.

Just wanting to get a heads up.

I do hope Yahoo mail has a better spam filter than what it was many years ago.

The servers should probably be the standard Yahoo mail ones:

Incoming Mail (IMAP) Server

  • Server - imap.mail.yahoo.com
  • Port - 993
  • Requires SSL - Yes

Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server

  • Server - smtp.mail.yahoo.com
  • Port - 465 or 587
  • Requires SSL - Yes
  • Requires authentication - Yes

Your login info

  • Email address - Your full email address (name@domain.com)
  • Password - Generate App Password
  • Requires authentication - Yes

POP settings for Yahoo Mail

Incoming Mail (POP) Server

  • Server - pop.mail.yahoo.com
  • Port - 995
  • Requires SSL - Yes

Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server

  • Server - smtp.mail.yahoo.com
  • Port - 465 or 587
  • Requires SSL - Yes
  • Requires TLS - Yes (if available)
  • Requires authentication - Yes

Your login info

  • Email address - Your full email address (name@domain.com)
  • Password - Generate App Password
  • Requires authentication - Yes

I got an email that said "Andyr1 posted a new reply on a post ..."

But, I do not see his reply.
