@oscardelahoya

There is now the question of the stability of the mail system. One of my email accounts remains missing.

I now in constant fear of loosing all email service. Why is this happening.? Can I expect more deletions of my mailboxes?

Currently I am getting the following message when I open a mailbox for reading:

Error

The provided login data to access mail server imap.comcast.net seem to be wrong. Please correct them.
It seems harmless "for now".  But, given history I feel that I am on very thin ice.

oscardelahoya Hey there! Thanks for using our Forums to contact our team and let us know about these email issues. Since then have you had any more missing emails? Also, how are you trying to access the email when you notice them missing?

Thanks for the response. So far all I have is the odd message about IMAP that shows as an overlay on top of the message area when I initially open  Comcast/Xfinity mail. As I mentioned it is not apparently causing any harm - YET,  But based on the near total disaster recently, when two more email addresses were deleted, there is little confidence in getting reliable service.

Otherwise, Xfinity mail is all I have used for 20 years with great reliability for those many years, BUT recently each morning I open my mail  with dread.

Letting the Marketing Department dictate policy shows here. There was no operational reason to mess with email. But marketing today is about change and not reliability. It is an obsession with Microsoft as their Windows efforts are getting ridiculous. Enough of the editorial. Thanks to the people on this system I am hanging on to Xfinity mail with a combo of hope and fear.
