Email TO field doesn't populate from address book

When I start an email, the email address no longer auto-populates from the address book when I enter part of the name or part of the email address.  I have cleared cache, done cleanup, etc., and it still isn't working.  I'm using a PC with Chrome.

On Tuesday afternoon, "XfinityMikeG" posted that this should be fixed by end of day Thursday.

Later on Tuesday, "XfinityGabrielS" posted there should be a fix "within a few days".

I'm hoping that timeline is still accurate ... and clearly, my hopes have a lot of company.  This is a clunky problem, to say the least.

The timeline's are always accurate, however, if something comes up and more work is needed the time will extend but we always try and stay with the time frame shown to us that we relate to our customers. The interruption work is always estimated and we do our best to be as quick as possible.

I no longer actively support the Xfinity Forum or work for Comcast.

I am in the Bay Area (CA).   The auto-populate (or "autofill") does not work on Edge, Chrome or Firefox.

I have had this problem (To:, CC:, BCC:) for at least a week in Minnesota - today is July 21, 2022. I do a fair amount of emailing and  mostly know what I am doing. For some reason the settings showed that "adding to Collected Addresses while sending and reading" were not checked - I activated them. My Collected Addresses folder was empty and continues to remain empty for the last several days. I use Google Chrome since my email program does not play well with FireFox.  I hope you figure this out soon.

Same for me, using Safari on a MacBook Air. VERY frustrating to not have the auto populate. Hope this is fixed today/Thursday. Have tried all the "fixes" I could on my end.

@user_f38aad​ My autofill is working for now, but it is now taking a really long time for a new email box to open up when I click on Compose.  Anyone else having this issue?

We still have engineers working on the issue with email. Thank you for your patience while we get this issue resolved.

My auto fill and address book have not work since 7-17-22. I was told Comcast is working on this. Any updates?

We are still aware of the issues and working to get the issue resolved as soon as possible. As a temporary solution, you can always copy and paste the email address from the address book and paste into the "TO" field when creating an e-mail.

You can also click on the icon at the end of the To: field to bring up your address book and you can populate from there.
