EMAIL not Syncing on any device - Customer Support is not existent for email. No communication from Xfinity on the widespread problem

Tested both desktop Outlook app and Samsung email app.  Also installed Outlook app on cell and not able to connect to Comcast IMAP server.

This problem has been happening since yesterday.  Email has not synced since yesterday. Error message stating it cannot connect to server.  

We have been customer for over 15 years.  This is the 1st time we have had this problem. And it appears that other Comcast customers are having this problem as well.

At first I could not see email in the Samsung email app. Then it quit syncing on my computer with Thunderbird. Now, email is not syncing when I log into Xfinity. I have reinstalled the Samsung app at least 4 times now. My husband's email works fine. What is going on?

I am having the same problem. My Samsung Android email has not been able to sync with Xfinity since Nov. 7th. I spent a couple hours trying to troubleshoot on Google. I tried everything they suggested except uninstalling and reinstalling. I do not want to lose any of my emails. Please notify me when the issue gets resolved.

Same problem as others since 11/7. I checked my My Third Party Access and it was not enabled - I'm thinking it never was but I have always been able to synch my emails with the Samsung app. Not sure if I should enable third party access now? How will we be notified when the issue has been resolved? Do you recommend uninstalling then re-installing the Samsung email app?

Solution that worked Comcast and Samsung Sync issue

My samsung S21 Ultra phone and Galaxy watch were not syncing with comcast email account.  This is what I did and so far has been working since 8 AM today.

Phone

1. Cleared email cache

2. Deleted email account on phone

3. Uninstalled Samsung email in play store.

4. Power cycled phone

5. Added back comcast email account 

6. Installed Samsung email from play store.

So far still good

Watch

From wearable app on phone removed email app. Power cycled watch readded email and it worked and I started getting notifications.

Hope this helps others

This is just ridiculous.  I pay Xfinity a lot of money and I need/expect to be able to send/receive emails on my phone.  This is your JOB Xfinity.  Get it fixed.

Good evening @user_86fzxz, we understand your frustrations and where you are coming from. We apologize for the inconvenience and our engineering experts are working to find a permanent resolution as quickly as possible. In the meantime they have found a couple temporary solutions. You can use the comcast.net website or follow the steps below on your Samsung phone.

 

 

Please delete your email account on Android using the steps below:

 

  1. Open your Email app. If you are having trouble finding it, swipe upward from your Home screen, then tap inside the search bar and type "Email."

 

  1. If prompted, enter your login information. If this happens, you may stop here as the issue should be clear now. If you are not prompted for your password, continue.

 

  1. Once you can view your Inbox, tap on the three horizontal lines in the upper left corner of the screen to open a menu.

 

  1. Tap on the icon resembling a gear, located in the upper right corner of the menu.

 

  1. The email accounts associated with your Email app will appear at the top of the Accounts list. Tap on the email account you wish to remove.

 

  1. Tap "Remove," located in the upper right corner of the screen.

 

  1. Tap "Remove" in the pop-up window to confirm that you want to remove the account.

 

  1. Your customer may now recreate the email account using the normal methods.

You know the problem is that Somebody At Xfinity Changed Something [edit all caps] and it didn't work the way they wanted... all they need to do it Put It Back The Way It Was [edit all caps]!!

I also haven't been able to sync since the evening of Nov 6, 2023. My email app houses several email addresses, and only the 2 Comcast ones are not syncing. I hope this gets resolved soon as I only check these emails on my phone since it's a pain to check it online (far less streamlined than Google or Microsoft interfaces).

Same synch issue. Tried checking all possible answers and the same result with the Comcast server. Checked with others who hadn't realised and they also had the same result. My last update was 11/7/2023 2:01A. Others update was the same day! No change as of 11/10/2023 6:00A CST!

Very disappointed and not acceptable behavior from Comcast.

@mgseabrook​ with this latest round of the issue, we did this for all of our email accounts and it would only sync up when using cell data. WiFi, it doesn’t sync up.

I'm also having this problem and would like to be notified when it's fixed.  I've discovered that if I remove the Comcast email account from my email program and re-add the account it will send and receive email for about 1-hour and then it's stuck again.  So when I'm desperate for my comcast email on my Android phone, this is what I have been doing for the past few days.

uninstalled Samsung Email app then reinstalled app and reentered account. sync seems to work now but when I went into settings to force a sync, I had to resign into xfinity account. A definite change somewhere. I never had to re-sign into my email before.
